Principal's Art Choice Award Announced

"So many to choose from"...."can you narrow it down any?"....."do I have to pick only one?"...."it's too hard to choose"....."the artwork is amazing".....  I hear these same thoughts and questions year after year when the principal has the honor and responsibility of choosing one piece of artwork that will be named the Principal's Art Choice for the entire year.  It's not an easy assignment when there are hundreds of creative pieces to choose from....but yes, I do narrow down SOME.  This year there were around 50 pieces of 2-dimensional works of art that principal Anne Watson got to peruse.  Normally there is a lot of weeding out, rearranging, and mind-changing that takes place before the final selection is made, sometimes even days later, but unbelievably, this year the choice was quick and easy.  The 2012-2013 Principal's Art Choice goes to Kaldon Lee for his chalk pastel drawing of Morning Glories.  Kaldon also received an honorable mention award for this beautiful work in the NSMS Art Show.  Morning Glories will be framed and hung in our schools growing and permanent art collection.  Congratulations Kaldon!
